The University of Georgia is committed to serving Athens and the communities surrounding our main campus. Our work spans many facets of the region, including education, nonprofits, the justice system, and local businesses.

Efforts include:

• Leadership programs that support local youth, professional and nonprofit leaders.
• Service-learning classes that put UGA students to work helping in community efforts.
• State Botanical Garden outreach programs that provide learning opportunities for all ages.
• Bobbie Meeler Sahm Award that supports UGA/ Athens collaborations.
